A.J. Meyers, 84, of Riverbank, died Friday, Sept. 6 of natural causes, surrounded by his family.

A business owner and operator of 60 years at Meyers Shoe Shop and Saddlery, he touched and influenced many lives in and around the state of California, and other parts of the world.

He is survived by his wife Donna; daughter, Kathi and son-in-law, Jeff; daughter-in-law Karen; and grandchildren, Ric, Rachel, Chris, Jason, and Josi.

He was preceded in death by his son, Rick Meyers.

The shop will be open on Thursday, Sept. 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12 at Riverbank Memorial Chapel. Services will be at 12 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13. Burial will follow at Burwood Cemetery, Escalon. A reception will be held at Riverbank Community Center.
