Dixie DiCarlo, age 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2014 after a brief illness.  Dixie DiCarlo had lived with her son, Joe DiCarlo, for the past 13 years in El Dorado, CA and Rancho Cordova, CA.  Dixie DiCarlo was one of five daughters born to Wade Rickets of Minnesota and Della Hancock of California.  She was born in Bakersfield, CA and graduated from John Brown University in Alabama.  She worked 19 years for the U.S. Postal Service in Riverbank, CA and volunteered in many civic programs such as a troop leader for the Girl Scouts.  Dixie married ...

Gale, the son of Justin and Jean Stapel, left Wisconsin as a toddler with younger brother Leighton and sister Donna during the Depression Era.
