Fans cheer as the chartered Storer bus carrying the Oakdale Mustangs varsity football team comes into view along G Street on Friday morning, headed off to Carson, California for the Saturday afternoon state bowl Division 2 championship game.

The Oakdale Varsity Football team arrived bright and early Friday, Dec. 14 to board the bus headed for Carson, California for the California Interscholastic Federation State Football Championship Division II Bowl game -- a first for the Mustangs and there was a good-sized, rowdy crowd ready to send them off in style.

The Varsity Mustangs were loaded onto the bus after plenty of love, hugs, congratulations, and lots of food for the trip that was donated by various families. The Mustangs will play Serra of Gardena at the Home Depot Center on Saturday afternoon.
