Stampede Plays Role In Charity Game

The Los Banos Wildcat Rookie team pushes through a gauntlet of Stampede and Turlock Vikings/49ers coaches, players, referees and cheerleaders as they were announced for their game.

POSTED November 19, 2012 12:27 p.m.

The varsity and junior varsity divisions of the Oakdale Stampede Youth Football team played contests at Modesto Christian High on Nov. 10 in a fundraiser effort to donate all proceeds to the family of Jayden Thomas, who was tragically killed in an auto accident after leaving a youth football game in Manteca. The Modesto Broncos donated the use of their field and snack bar for the two games. A bake sale, silent auction, T-shirt sales and donation jars also accumulated funds for the family.
