Screening Of ‘Chasing Ice’ Planned

POSTED April 15, 2014 1:48 p.m.

The Modesto Junior College Civic Engagement Project (CEP) invites the community to a screening of the documentary film “Chasing Ice” on Thursday, April 17, at 7p.m. in Forum 110 on East Campus, 435 College Ave., Modesto. This is the final event of the CEP Spring Film and Lecture Series and admission is free. Campus parking is available for $1 in student parking lots.

“Chasing Ice” follows photographer James Balog as he visually documents the rapid melting of glaciers via time-lapse photographs taken by cameras installed in the harshest environments.

A discussion will follow the showing of the film.
