Another county resident has fallen victim to the swine flu.

Officials with the Stanislaus County Health Agency have reported the death of a 53-year-old Stanislaus County man due to the Swine Flu, or H1N1 virus.

County Health officer John Walker said his agency received a report on Oct. 5 that the man had died of H1N1. This was the seventh death overall in the county attributed to the swine flu outbreak. There have been 75 county residents hospitalized with H1N1 since early July, Walker said.

It was the first death reported in the last six weeks, according to Walker.

Unconfirmed reports have identified the man as Valley Home resident and longtime City of Oakdale employee Ed Tribby.

Tribby was a director on the Valley Home Community Center board of directors, as well as an equipment operator for the city.
