On Thursday, August 6 Oakdale Joint Unified Schools will once again be in session. For a handful of our readers that means nothing. Total enrollment for OJUSD is just shy of 5,300 students. So when I say a 'handful' I mean that quite literally.
The days of summer are ticking by faster than even I can truly fathom. The downside of working for a newspaper publication and a bi-monthly magazine, is that we are always working ahead. A few weeks back I shared my struggle with a passion for eating. First, I must clarify … I'm not what one would call a 'foodie,' my palate is pretty simple. Fine dining is nice and fun on occasion, my previous piece was primarily about my love of simple fresh foods - produce and proteins … And of course water. Lots and lots of water.
