If you have a pen handy, circle Saturday, October 27th on your calendar and plan to visit the Valley Home Community Park to enjoy an evening with thrills and chills courtesy of Valley Home 4-H. Enjoy a visit to a Haunted House/Halloween Party, sponsored by the Valley Home 4-H Community Service Project Members.

The Valley Home MAC will be hosting the Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) Bi-Annual Meeting on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 for the eight county MACs beginning at the Community Center Park and concluding at the Valley Home Fire Station (a short walk). Arrival & Reception at 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. and a light dinner will be provided during reception.

Brrr! What was that noise? Do you feel that sudden chill in the air? Word is that the chill has nothing to do with "Old Man Winter", instead it is the forerunner of the Halloween festivities due to arrive this coming Saturday night! Beware! Beware! Ghosts and goblins have sent word that our Valley Home Community is scheduled for a special evening of Halloween fun! Spirits will abound and offer an invitation to the brave of heart to enter and tour their Haunted House and offer an invitation to visit their creepy abode!

Valley Home News for September 26, 2012

Smiles could be seen all around on Saturday in our community as folks gathered for a fundraiser for our beautiful little Valley Home Community Park. The laughter of children and teenagers could be heard throughout the park. Neighbors, friends and families greeted each other with hearty handshakes and friendly hugs. The mouth-watering aroma of the Mike Jerome Family Catered dinner drew folks who were just passing by or were nearby neighbors. Compliments are sent to the chef!

Erin Balaam shares some important information with us concerning the Northern California Junior Rodeo Association finals that will occur on September 8th and 9th at the Oakdale Rodeo Grounds. We are told that the following young people have worked all year to qualify in the top ten for one or more of their events. They are Jolie Balaam, Travis Kent, Wyatt Roseberry, Machaela Sinclair, Brett Eskew, Caden Farquer, Harlee Burtschi, Colton Farquer, Kelsey Cadwell, Payton Sinclair and Dante Martin. We are happy to share some more news on the activities of our Valley Home 4-H'ers at the Stanislaus County Fair. Our 4-H members here in Valley Home always put on a good showing at the Fair and this year was no exception. Our community was well represented in all areas of the livestock entries. We have received word that our Valley Home community was very well represented at the California State Fair. Our 4-Hers Jenna Heaton, Cody Bartholomew, Samuel Fletcher, Conner and Collin McKenzie and helped by Benjamin Fletcher, brought home many ribbons and lots of happy memories. Our group of 4-Hers would like to offer a very special thank you to Ryan and Christine Neugebauer for their support with their animals. A dazzling full moon shone brightly across the peaceful little park. The small town Christmas Parade had just ended, its glistening lights now just a beautiful glow against the night skyline. The little park had just witnessed the beginning of the ninth annual community celebration in Valley Home. The community sponsored Christmas parade will usher in the evening's traditional tree lighting and community Christmas Potluck Dinner!
