Bushwacker ... The greatest bucking bull of all time! We are so fortunate to have this magnificent bull living right here in Valley Home. It is such a treat when you drive by the beautiful green pastures he calls home and catch a glimpse of the iconic Mr. Bushwacker. Watching him last Monday on TV as he bucked his way into history becoming the 2014 Bucking Bull of the year made for a fantastic evening! Valley Home News Week of September 17, 2014

Last week we stopped what we were doing to remember those lives lost on September 11, 2001. A horrible tragedy that changed our world forever. Words cannot express the sadness and overwhelming anger that touched each one of us during one of our country's darkest hours. We cannot change the events of that day, but we can remember those lost and the many public servants who died trying to save them. The date that marks this sad day has passed and as we look toward a brighter future, we honor those who continue to serve our nation's people ...

I guess that I just was not sure a picture could be taken that wouldn't make my family and friends run for the hills! Even after Oakdale Leader Editor Marg Jackson asked my daughter to send a picture of me in for the column, it ...
