The weather turned out great on Saturday for the 4-H sponsored Easter Egg Hunt and a good number of egg hunters showed up for the fun event! Our 4-H Easter Bunny helpers did a great job hiding the eggs on the grounds of the "old" school and the weather couldn't have been better for the hunt. The eggs were dyed and decorated by the 4-H'ers in Chairman Jenna Heaton and Cody Bartholomew's barn and afterward the kids all enjoyed a marshmallow roast out by the fire.

Valley Home 'Green Thumbs' were delighted to take advantage of this week's sunny weather and warmer temperatures to get outside and enjoy a little garden work to work off some of the winter blahs. Your reporter remembers when her family first moved to Valley Home the area there seemed to be nothing but fog, fog, fog, causing her to lament to family members, "Doesn't the sun ever shine here?" The date that marks this sad day has passed and as we look toward a brighter future, we honor those who continue to serve our nation's people ...
