The Valley Home MAC will be hosting the Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) Bi-Annual Meeting on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 for the eight county MACs beginning at the Community Center Park and concluding at the Valley Home Fire Station (a short walk). Arrival & Reception at 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. and a light dinner will be provided during reception.

Ghosts and goblins have sent word that our Valley Home Community is scheduled for a special evening of Halloween fun! Spirits will abound and offer an invitation to the brave of heart to enter and tour their Haunted House and offer an invitation to visit their creepy abode!

Smiles could be seen all around on Saturday in our community as folks gathered for a fundraiser for our beautiful little Valley Home Community Park. The laughter of children and teenagers could be heard throughout the park. Neighbors, friends and families greeted each other with hearty handshakes and friendly hugs. The mouth-watering aroma of the Mike Jerome Family Catered dinner drew folks who were just passing by or were nearby neighbors. Compliments are sent to the chef!

Erin Balaam shares some important information with us concerning the Northern California Junior Rodeo Association finals that will occur on September 8th and 9th at the Oakdale Rodeo Grounds. We are told that the following young people have worked all year to qualify in the top ten for one or more of their events. Valley Home News Week of October 15, 2014

Our Oakdale High Football team was well represented this past Saturday at Levi's Stadium! Mustang colors dominated the crowd with the opposing colors of Buffalo green being not so dominant. The game was a thriller with our Mustangs coming out on top. Our cheerleaders and football players were brilliant and represented our area with tremendous pride and hard work. Go Mustangs!

Our fall scarecrow contest is off to a great start ... remember all entry forms must be turned in by this Friday, October 10th! If you do not have an entry form and would like to enter call Cooper Bartholomew at 209-985-5233. Prizes will be awarded at our annual Valley Home School Harvest Festival on October 25th. It's not too early to mark your calendars for October 25th. That is when our Valley Home School will host their annual Fall Harvest Festival! The festival is an important fundraiser for the school and all proceeds directly benefit our Valley Home students. Don't forget that St. John's/St. Luke's Church will be having a yard sale, bake sale, and enchilada sale on Friday, August 29 and Saturday, August 30 at the Church, 8 a.m. on Friday and 7 a.m. on Saturday.
