We have received a news item from "Mohawk" the Valley Home School mascot who writes: I hope that everyone is enjoying their summer break and getting to have some fun with friends and family. The Valley Home Parents Teacher Club (PTC) would like to invite you to a summer meeting on Tuesday, July 21st at 6:30 p.m. in the Gym on the Pioneer Avenue campus. Discussion on the upcoming year's calendar of events will be the main topic.
Have you seen it? Seen what? The picnic table pavilion on the Valley Home Community Center Park site. Yes, it has happened. The park construction has started again and is moving along nicely. Next group of things to get accomplished is the laying of the cement for the pavilion floor, the sidewalks and other miscellaneous pads, the installation of the sprinkler system, the electric wiring, and then on to the next group. Now is the time when volunteers will be welcome. E-mail email@example.com if you are willing to help. And if you are driving by the park site ...
It is always nice to catch up on the activities of our young people that we have written about in the Valley Home News over the years. Molly graduated cum laude and honors, with a Bachelor in Political Science. Attending the ceremony were Molly's husband, Robert Smith, Molly's parents, Cheryl Morehead and Claus Bergstrom, and her husband's parents, Gary and Susan Smith of Oakdale, grandparents Ken and Shirley Butler, of Valley Home and former Valley Home residents ...
This week's news starts with the report of an incident that happened at the Valley Home School on Sunday, June 7. At about 2:30 p.m. a young boy was riding his bicycle in the area when a man in a white truck jumped out of the truck and assaulted the boy, shoving him to the ground, and stole his bicycle. The bicycle was put it into the back of the truck and the man drove off.

Valley Home 4-H members celebrated their final meeting of the year on Tuesday, June 2, with their traditional "end of the year" barbecue! The group met at the Valley Home School old campus, with the Club providing hot dogs and the members bringing either a dessert or side dish. The food was great and there was lots of fun all around. There is excitement in the air as members are beginning to get ready now for the fair this summer.
