The multipurpose room at Valley Home School became a western setting on Wednesday evening, May 19th as a background for the eighth grade graduation ceremony. Western saddles and blankets displayed on a fence and containers of garden plants provided a setting on one side of the graduate seating, with benches, cowboy hats, lariats and colorful plants decorating the opposite side of the setting. Gray skies and cold temperature didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the children who turned out on Saturday to participate in the annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by our Valley Home 4-H members. MaryBeth Carpenter did a wonderful job of chairing this fun event.
