We understand that they are also involved in raising and training roping horses and ponies. We also learn in addition, that the Reeves family also competes in roping and rodeo events and we look forward to watching them in action at the Oakdale rodeo.

The Bryhni family, who are all big Giants fans, traveled to San Francisco this past weekend. Kathy, Brooke, Sierra and Garrett enjoyed a tremendous outing by the Giants and also appreciated the opportunity to be part of such a moving tribute to 9/11. Maybe the family should go to more games as it seems to have brought luck to the team by the Bay!

Your reporter was unable to visit the Fair and see our 4-H'ers in action, however, one of our readers sent me some E-mail photos of the heifers being shown by Jennifer Schaefle, Gracie Azevedo and Justin Azevedo. The smiles on our 4-H'ers faces really brightened my day and made up for not being able to attend the event myself. The smiles just radiated as the threesome displayed their animals for the Judges. Gracie was the recipient of 2nd place overall showmanship and Justin received 5th place in overall showmanship. Jennifer received a 5th place award in dairy cattle ...

Garret named his animal "All That" and his entry came away with the title of Supreme Champion Market Hog, and thanks to the efforts of "Friends of Garret" he received $41.00 a pound, $11,152, for his 272-pound hog. We received word that "All That" will happily ...

Cost Less Market ... What a spectacular trip it is from Valley Home to go grocery shopping. Taking the time to appreciate this trip is something that I have learned to make a priority. Where else can you drive five minutes to go grocery shopping and pass almond orchards with beautiful blossoms, go past Bushwacker's home, watch cattle and horses grazing on lush green pastures, then at the edge of town and right before shopping, pass over the most spectacular bridge! Crossing this beautiful gateway bridge offers you a moment to reflect. Many thousands use this strong and steady passage ...
