The blessings of family ... As with most of you, on Easter we gathered with our families. For most it was a day of bright colorful egg hunts and visits with those we hold dear. For my family the holiday held many blessings. Strong family ties, including friends that care and share those family ties. Although this Easter had some bittersweet moments throughout the day, those family ties were strong and together we enjoyed a truly blessed Easter Day.

Knights Ferry News

Saturday morning dawned bright and warm for the Civil War reenactment. The Blue and the Grey set up their encampments and busied themselves with the doings of life back then. On Saturday evening the Community Club put on their annual Spaghetti Dinner and it was well attended. The reenactors were very thankful for the dinner. A rousing raffle took place with 124 items finding new homes. Thanks go out to all those who donated raffle items or food for the dinner. TJ was a contestant in the annual Distinguished Young Woman of Oakdale program, which was held Saturday, Feb. 13 at Magnolia School. Delicious food in Valley Home! This Saturday, January 30th the delightful ladies of St John's/St Luke's church will once again be selling their delicious homemade enchiladas. The church ladies take great pride in turning out their special tasty enchiladas. All funds benefit the church. You may place your orders with choice of red or green sauce by calling Judy at 847-6647. The enchiladas sell for $15.00 for 1/2 dozen.
