Melissa who is talented in many areas has chosen to follow a career path in the medical field. Melissa enrolled in ROP during high school, which consisted of many ride-alongs with EMTs and paramedics. It was during this time she realized she was definitely where she wanted to be. As a child growing up in Valley Home, those around Melinda Koppinger knew that she was a talented athlete! Over the years Melinda has sharpened her skills and has become one of the area's best softball players. Parents Debra and Jay Koppinger are their daughter's biggest supporters and together they have raised five of the most talented and unique children parents could ask for. It made for an exciting game of basketball when good friends Tom Cassinetto and Randy Russell met up this past Thursday at Valley Home School. Randy coaches Knights Ferry basketball and Tom coaches Valley Home. Before being hired to teach at Knights Ferry Randy taught at Valley Home School. Randy was a favorite at Valley Home and it is great to see his success and happiness at Knights Ferry School. Our Oakdale High Football team was well represented this past Saturday at Levi's Stadium! Mustang colors dominated the crowd with the opposing colors of Buffalo green being not so dominant. The game was a thriller with our Mustangs coming out on top. Our cheerleaders and football players were brilliant and represented our area with tremendous pride and hard work. Go Mustangs!

Our fall scarecrow contest is off to a great start ... remember all entry forms must be turned in by this Friday, October 10th! If you do not have an entry form and would like to enter call Cooper Bartholomew at 209-985-5233. Prizes will be awarded at our annual Valley Home School Harvest Festival on October 25th.
