Oak Valley Art Society members enjoyed an interesting program at their monthly meeting on Saturday which featured an interesting program by Escalon artist, Dorothy Girling and her husband Bob. Dorothy displayed some of her work and gave suggestions on the use and care of various art mediums. We have received word that two horses were lost on Friday night right on Valley Home Road near Pleasant Valley Road as a gate was left open. One is a sorrel warm blood and the other is a small bay. Valley Home residents began the New Year by welcoming in the new Superintendent/Principal for Valley Home School, Mrs. Rolanda Desrosiers-Lewis, to replace former Superintendent/Principal, Kevin Hart. The first official day for the new Principal began on Tuesday, January 3, as she welcomed the return of our Valley Home students from winter break. A group of our friends and neighbors from our Valley Home community traveled to Knights Ferry on Saturday to attend the fundraising dinner for 22 year old Ashley Bizzanelli. It was an outstanding scary, spooky, ghoulish event that was done with a great deal of thought and work and greatly enjoyed by many visitors from near and far.
