We would like to offer a big warm Valley Home WELCOME to Steve and Viki Reeves, and their children, Cameron and Haili, who have recently moved to our community. We understand that they are also involved in raising and training roping horses and ponies. We also learn in addition, that the Reeves family also competes in roping and rodeo events and we look forward to watching them in action at the Oakdale rodeo.

The Bryhni family, who are all big Giants fans, traveled to San Francisco this past weekend. Kathy, Brooke, Sierra and Garrett enjoyed a tremendous outing by the Giants and also appreciated the opportunity to be part of such a moving tribute to 9/11. Maybe the family should go to more games as it seems to have brought luck to the team by the Bay!

We enjoyed a recent opportunity to meet and visit with W.C. Koch, a cousin of Cindy Fleischer, a former long time resident of our Valley Home community, who dropped by to bring us up to date on the Fleischer family activities. Cindy and Chuck now reside at Dardanelle, where she and Chuck own a grocery store, gas station and lodgings. The couple were always quite active in our Valley Home, especially with our community and Volunteer Firefighter activities before moving up to their current location.

Your reporter was unable to visit the Fair and see our 4-H'ers in action, however, one of our readers sent me some E-mail photos of the heifers being shown by Jennifer Schaefle, Gracie Azevedo and Justin Azevedo. The smiles on our 4-H'ers faces really brightened my day and made up for not being able to attend the event myself. The smiles just radiated as the threesome displayed their animals for the Judges. Gracie was the recipient of 2nd place overall showmanship and Justin received 5th place in overall showmanship. Jennifer received a 5th place award in dairy cattle ...

We received word that "All That" will happily ...

If anyone is interested in buying an animal or helping a 4H'er they should contact Tammie at 604-6942.
