At the Knights Ferry MAC meeting David Leamon from the Stanislaus County Department of Public Works spoke on Measure L. Because of its passing, each road in the County will be treated three times in 25 years. Also he commented on the closing of Rodden Road May 3 for six weeks to repair the damaged culvert between Gibbs Drive and Eaton Road. The clouds gave way to beautiful sun for the Peddler's Faire on Sunday. The day started with a breakfast at the Odd Fellows Hall then a shuttle would transport down to the park where the many vendors were set up. Knights Ferry school children went around with coffee and donuts to make money for their Washington D.C. trip, working with the Wandering Barista. The E Clampus Vitus managed parking again. The 20th annual Parent/Teacher Club's Dinner and Auction was a great success. The guests enjoyed a good dinner catered by Bob and Margaret Coelho. Many silent auction items were available for bid. The live auctioneer was Chad Brantley and he got the crowd going. The Kindergarten class had a beautiful lap quilt with their pictures on it that went for $950. Not much storm damage on our place but saw a lot of debris on the roads. One old almond tree in the pasture is leaning and the llama is nibbling on it. Our place has had 17 inches of rain this season.
