Owen Haskell celebrated his 88th birthday with a party in his yard. Beckie, Carey and Linda, former caregivers, came to help Owen celebrate. Knights Ferry School held their annual Jog-a-Thon last Friday. Fifth through eighth graders ran first, then the Kindergarteners and grades one through four ran. Many parents ran along with their students. Wyatt Sousa enjoyed running the laps. Madison Willis liked reaching her goal for the run. At the Knights Ferry School board meeting there were a lot of concerned parents attending because of proposed cuts to teacher's salaries and not the administration. The negotiations have been ongoing and nothing is settled. Under action items, the Board approved all. The API score for Knights Ferry was 823. Activities in the future are the Sixth Grade Outdoor Education Camp September 19-23. The annual Jog-a-thon will be October 14th.
