The Knights Ferry School Graduation took place on the hill overlooking the town Thursday evening. The clouds were scudding above and a rainbow was seen, along with some lightning. After the Kindergarteners sang, their Diplomas were presented. Speaker for the evening was Mrs. Barbara Burroughs, substitute teacher and community member. In her speech she read the yearbook dedication of the 2009 class - to the United States Armed Forces. She also read a letter from her son, Capt. Rhett Burroughs, thanking them for the dedication to those who serve. The gift to the school was a cement patio for lunch benches ...
