There has been vandalism in the Ferry. The school and church have had minor incidences such as being on the new school roof and turning off the air conditioner. The latest wasn't minor, the water was turned off at the school in the shed that houses the OID pump and Lynn Duckworth worked overtime trying to find where the problem was and then called the plumber and he discovered the break-in to the shed and the switch thrown to off. This caused a big bill and the school is already close to deficit spending. Please keep your eyes open ...

A great big "Thank You!" from the Boyers to the Knights Ferry lawn ferries. Jim came home from the hospital and Diane and Jim were surprised to find their lawn had been mowed and things weed-eated and trimmed. Seems Martha Harding and helpers from the 50's Roadhouse went to work on the Boyer yard since Jim could not do it. It is nice to have such good friends!
Someone removed part of our fence between properties and compromised our security system. They mowed the berries and cut some branches off our shrubs. Yesterday some people were on the property next door and it looked like they were going to fence it. If you remove a fence shouldn't you contact the other property owner?

The skunks are coming out looking for mates and some are ending up as road kill. The recipe for de-skunking your dog is one quart of hydrogen peroxide, 1/3-cup baking soda and 1 tablespoon of liquid soap. With a cloth, wash it into the fur and leave for a few minutes then wash off. This needs to be done within four hours of skunking. I keep the ingredients on hand always!
