Grace Harden liked petting the goats. River McCarthy liked getting her pumpkin. Alek Barton liked feeding the goats. Troy Peterson (siblings were along also) liked picking up the almonds. The weather was beautiful for a fight - a reenactment of a Civil War battle that is - on Saturday and Sunday. There were many tents at the Army Corp Park and many soldiers of the Blue and Gray that battled it out on the hills. The spaghetti dinner was good and many enjoyed winning the great raffle prizes. The town was quite busy!

Someone removed part of our fence between properties and compromised our security system. They mowed the berries and cut some branches off our shrubs. The skunks are coming out looking for mates and some are ending up as road kill. The recipe for de-skunking your dog is one quart of hydrogen peroxide, 1/3-cup baking soda and 1 tablespoon of liquid soap. With a cloth, wash it into the fur and leave for a few minutes then wash off. This needs to be done within four hours of skunking. I keep the ingredients on hand always!
