Peddler's Faire people were sweating the weather after the downpour but the day was lovely. Just some fluffy clouds and a breeze, mostly sun, greeted the many Faire goers Sunday. There were all kinds of items for sale, something for everyone!
The sun rose through the pink tinted wispy clouds Easter Sunday to shine on the faithful assembled on Frymire Hill. Pastor Tanis, with his daughter and grandson, told of the appearance of his angel wife Sara Jean (mom, grandmother). She appeared to the grandson and daughter after the grandson was having trouble sleeping after Sara Jean's death and the angel appeared and told him it was time for him to sleep in his own bed and led him there. In Indio Don and Gayle went to a date farm where they learned all about how they pollinate each tree by hand and then they got to taste a variety of dates.

There have been sightings of a Golden Eagle in the Horseshoe/Orange Blossom road area. The Golden Eagle has a wingspan of 7 feet. It eats rabbits and rodents where the Bald Eagle eats fish. If you can get a close look at the Golden Eagle it has feathers down to its toes and the Bald Eagle's legs are bare. There are more sightings of the Bald Eagle in this area as it eats fish.
A great big "Thank You!" from the Boyers to the Knights Ferry lawn ferries. Jim came home from the hospital and Diane and Jim were surprised to find their lawn had been mowed and things weed-eated and trimmed. Seems Martha Harding and helpers from the 50's Roadhouse went to work on the Boyer yard since Jim could not do it. It is nice to have such good friends!
Someone removed part of our fence between properties and compromised our security system. They mowed the berries and cut some branches off our shrubs. Yesterday some people were on the property next door and it looked like they were going to fence it. If you remove a fence shouldn't you contact the other property owner?

The skunks are coming out looking for mates and some are ending up as road kill. The recipe for de-skunking your dog is one quart of hydrogen peroxide, 1/3-cup baking soda and 1 tablespoon of liquid soap. With a cloth, wash it into the fur and leave for a few minutes then wash off. This needs to be done within four hours of skunking. I keep the ingredients on hand always!
