Alex and Jean Naccarato celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary with a quiet evening at home. They had sons Alex Jr. and Scott, with their families and dogs, visiting for Christmas. The families left before the anniversary and Jean said they just enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Owen Haskell celebrated his 88th birthday with a party in his yard. Beckie, Carey and Linda, former caregivers, came to help Owen celebrate. Knights Ferry School held their annual Jog-a-Thon last Friday. Fifth through eighth graders ran first, then the Kindergarteners and grades one through four ran. Many parents ran along with their students. Wyatt Sousa enjoyed running the laps. Madison Willis liked reaching her goal for the run. The Sandhill Cranes are flying north in impressive numbers. Spring is coming! Also the town is carpeted in violets, remnants of the open water system that provided the town with water. The reservoir was where the upper blacktop area is at the school. It was open and violet seeds spread through town.
At the MAC meeting the rash of burglaries in the area was discussed. There were eight that they knew of. Everyone needs to keep a watch out for anything suspicious and report it to the Sheriff.
