Dear Editor, I am responding to the letter from Shirley Beauregard printed in the May 18 issue of The Leader. I have been volunteering at the Senior Center for 11 years and do not see those things (she mentioned) happening. We have over 50 volunteers at present time. Dear Editor, The article '60-Day Out Clause Enacted' brings to light several issues. Several years ago the ORFD Bond was passed to keep the Knights Ferry and Valley Home Stations manned. That continuous operation of these stations went by the wayside under budget restraints since that bond was passed, as confirmed by Kim Van Meter's article in your May 25, 2011 issue.
