The Buhach Thunder showed up to the Corral ready to play and pulled out a couple of victories over the Oakdale Stampede organization, but the Pee Wee level fought off the clean sweep with a 13-12 win over the visitors.
The Oakdale Stampede got the production they were looking for as all three levels of competitive action rolled to victory in their regular season home opener. The pee-wee team put together a pristine effort, smashing Hilmar 41-0, while the JV and varsity squads did themselves justice with 22-6 and 7-6 victories, respectively.
The Oakdale Stampede came out on the losing end of all three of its competitive contests against the Turlock 49ers on Saturday, forcing the squad into attack mode for the home opener against the Hilmar Packers on Sept. 5.
