Rivera, VandenBosch Take Three Events Each In Ripon
Oakdale Gators youth swimmers Hayley Rivera and Dustin VandenBosch were truly touching during a meet against the host Ripon Sea Lions on July 7.
Athlete of the Week - Dustin Vandenbosch
Oakdale H.S., Softball Oakdale Gators swimmer Dustin VandenBosch delivered yet another stellar performance in the pool during the Sea Dog Invitational on June 23. VandenBosch sped to championship victories in the 100 meter individual medley and 50 butterfly stroke. He was also second in the 50 breaststroke and joined older swimmers for a sixth place finish in the 15-18 200 medley relay. VandenBosch earns Athlete of the Week recognition from The Leader for his efforts.

The 2005 Oakdale High graduate and professional cowboy returned to his hometown triumphantly on April 12, 13 and 14 to claim an All-Around Champion title at the 61st Annual Oakdale Saddle Club Rodeo. Crews Get Another Oakdale Funny Car Ready To Go
Oakdale has a rich history of custom cars and hot-rodding. That history continues as another nostalgia nitromethane fueled funny car has been found. This one, a 1969 fiberglass bodied racecar, belongs to Richard Townsend.
