Eleanor Dorothy Cottle, 87, died Saturday, Sept. 19 in Modesto after a short illness.
Gail Eloise Leach, 69, died Sunday, Sept. 13 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
James Merle Russ, 86, died Monday, Aug. 31.
Dale McCrellis Stephens, 58, died Monday, Sept. 7 in Modesto. He had been ill for the past nine years.
Jerry A. Strong, 45, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 16.
John J. Tonioni, 59, died peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 3 surrounded by his loving family at UCFS medical center following a long illness.
Arden Preston 'Swede' Alton, 69, died peacefully Saturday, Sept. 12 at Doctor's Medical Center after a long battle with liver cancer.
He was born to Ancel and Anna Silveira Alton and was raised in Riverbank. He graduated in 1958 from Oakdale High School, where he served as student body President, played basketball and was a member of the band.
Patrick Edward Brecht, 70, formerly of Oakdale, died Wednesday, Sept. 9 in Boise, ID, where he'd lived for the past three years. He had suffered from a long struggle with dementia.
He was born in Fresno.

a resident of Tuolomne County for 42 years, passed away at his home in Sonora on February 11, 2015, he was 77 years old. Born in San Francisco to Bud and Lottie on November 25, 1937. He served in the Navy where he was an Electronics Technician. Ray became a Service Trainer for Montgomery Wards, then owned and operated Eagleton's Refrigeration Heating and Air Conditioning for over 40 year's. Ray loved fishing, camping and getaway's to Nevada. Ray was a member of Sonora Moose Lodge.
