She was born in San Angelo, Texas.
Virgie Evelyn Riley Jones, 91, of Coulterville died Thursday, Aug. 26 at Sonora Regional Convalescent.
She was a native of Newport, Arkansas. She lived in Coulterville for 25 years and previously lived in Oakdale for 25 years.
Stephen Paul 'Steve' Shuler, 62, died on Saturday, Aug. 28 at his home.
He was born in Toledo, Ohio. He graduated from Clay High School in Oregon, Ohio in 1966. He lettered in football and was named an All Great Lakes League player.

He was a native of Glendale and lived in Oakdale for 20 years.
Leon Watson, 90, died Sunday, Aug. 22 at Kaiser Hospital, Modesto.He lived in Escalon for 38 years.He was active in community service, coordinating the Escalon community dances since 1989 until the last dance was held in 2009. The dances took place every first and third Sunday of the month. He served in the Navy where he was an Electronics Technician. Ray became a Service Trainer for Montgomery Wards, then owned and operated Eagleton's Refrigeration Heating and Air Conditioning for over 40 year's. Ray loved fishing, camping and getaway's to Nevada. Ray was a member of Sonora Moose Lodge.
