Lawrence "Larry" Joseph Alves, age 72, of Copperopolis, CA passed away on October 26, 2014 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House. He was born in Dos Palos, CA on May 1, 1942 to the late Frank and Kay Alves, Jr. Larry was a resident of Calaveras County for the past 19 years. As a young man, Larry was drafted into the US Army, where he received an honorable discharge in 1966. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all spending time with his family.

Jack Alfred McAllister of Copperopolis, CA, died suddenly at his home early Monday morning October 13, 2014, from complications relating to a recent illness. He was 79. Jack is survived by his three sons: Steven and Bill of Copperopolis and Jim in Seattle. He is also survived by a granddaughter Jayme who also lives in Seattle. His older brother Bob resides in Clearlake.
