Dorothy Skinner, age 82, passed away on November 24, 2016 at Kaiser Permanente hospital in Modesto, California with her family by her side. Dorothy was born on March 22, 1934 in Pasadena, the daughter of the late Raymond Gorham and Anna Doerrer.

Alta Ray Fannon Gates is survived by her children John W. Gates, Cindy D. Gates, Kelly M. Gates, Steve A. Gates, and Tearsa J. Gates, 13 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, December 10, at 1 p.m. at the Assembly of God located at 3126 Stanislaus St., Riverbank. A celebration of life will immediately follow in the church hall.

GORDON ALBERT PIMLEY

Gordon Albert Pimley was born on December 12, 1926 to parents William Gordon and Frances Helen (Cole) Pimley in Hayward CA. He entered into eternal repose on November 5, 2016 at his home in Oakdale. Gordon moved from Hayward to Oakdale at the age of 12. He was an altar boy at Saint Mathias Church where his mother played the organ. Gordon signed up for the Navy on December 11, 1944, and entered after he graduated high school in 1945. He served through 1946 and became inactive until he was honorably discharged on July 27, 1950.

CLAUDIA JEANNE PARRISH

Claudia Jeanne Parrish went peacefully into the hands of the Lord on November 5, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. Claudia was born on July 2, 1951 in Visalia, CA to parents Rex and Yvonne Parrish and grew up in the Los Angeles area. Upon graduation, Claudia attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She received a BS in Animal Science, an MS in Agriculture. GARY RUSSELL MICHENER

Gary passed away November 15th at Manteca Care & Rehabilitation Center after a short battle with brain cancer. Gary was a lifelong resident of Oakdale; he worked at Spreckles Sugar for 23 years. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. Gary is survived by brother, Steven Michener; sisters, Jeanne Michener and Margaret (Maggie) Hulme. Deb, wife of Oakdale native, Bret Hewitt, passed away in the afternoon of Sunday, October 23 after a determined and valiant battle of a recurrence of breast cancer. Nancy passed away Nov. 5, after a battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 17, 1949 to Irving and Patricia Kesterson in Palo Alto, CA. She married Joe Dymke in Modesto, CA on Feb. 27, 1971; they were married almost 46 years. Roger Lundgren, lifelong resident of Oakdale, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2016 at the age of 76. Roger is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol and their two sons, Roger Jr. and Scott. Roger grew up hunting and fishing with his father Kenneth, who was a local Barber, and his brothers and uncles. His mother Nellie was a Nurse at the nearby Oak Valley Hospital.
