Larry Ratto

Larry A. Ratto, 73, died Saturday, Aug. 8 at Memorial Medical Center.
Mr. Ratto was a native of Oakdale. He lived in Riverbank 45 years.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a forklift operator at Silgan Containers for 30 years.
He is survived by his companion, Doris Lee of Riverbank; children, Paula Luttrull of Modesto and Rick Ratto of Reno, NV; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
No visitation. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 14 at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery.

Glenna Arnett

Glenna 'Yvonne' Arnett, 75, of Modesto died Tuesday, July 28 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House, Hughson.
She was a native of Oklahoma and previously lived in Sonora for 25 years.
Mrs. Arnett owned and operated 'Beauty and the Budget,' a retail beauty supply store. She started her store in Modesto, then it moved to Oakdale, and finally to Sonora where it has been for over 15 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Dana Arnett of Riverbank; brother, Darrell Ireland of Modesto; and two grandchildren.
Graveside service was held July 31 at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery.

Richard Eddie Meier, 64, of Oakdale died Saturday, Aug. 1.
Mr. Meier was a native of Venice, CA. He lived in Oakdale for two years.
He worked for Granite Construction for 18 years.

Jean Lorraine O'Hearn, 76, died Friday, July 31 of cancer at Alexander Cohen Hospice House.
She was born in Modesto to Sylvester and Hattie Hoover.
She was one of the first women to become an office manager/controller for Aetna Life. Later, she was an accountant and office manager for the Moffet Company, San Jose. She retired to Oakdale 10 years ago.

Ross Barton 'Bart' Paul, 73, died suddenly on Sunday, July 26 while on a golf vacation in Klamath Falls, OR.
He was born to Waite and Marlea Paul in Turlock. He grew up throughout the central valley of California. He graduated from Oakdale High School in 1954. In 1957, he fell in love with and married Hazel Howell of Modesto.

She was born in Kirwin, KS to Claude and Laura Cogswell. She married Archie Heltzel in 1938, and they moved to California in 1947. She was widowed in 1961.

Robert 'Bob' F. Nelson, 68, died on Thursday July 23 at his home in Don Pedro after suffering from a long illness.

Robert Webster

Robert 'Bob' Webster, 68, died Thursday, July 9.

He worked at the Hershey's factory in Oakdale for 38 years, along with his wife Jeannie. After they retired, he and his wife moved to Snowflake, AZ where they became active in the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization. He was a volunteer for the Sheriffs Auxiliary, Sheriff's Search and Rescue, and C.E.R.T.S.

NAVON VIOLET NEATHERY
