Billy Gene (Bill) Oliver slipped into the Lord's arms on Oct. 23, 2014 in Modesto, CA. He was born in Fort Smith, AR to Earl and Violet Oliver. The family moved to CA in 1940 and Bill attended local schools, graduating from OHS in 1956. He loved sports and excelled in baseball, basketball and football, playing on championship teams for the Mustangs under Coach Jack Walker, who became a lifelong friend. Lawrence "Larry" Joseph Alves, age 72, of Copperopolis, CA passed away on October 26, 2014 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House. He was born in Dos Palos, CA on May 1, 1942 to the late Frank and Kay Alves, Jr. Larry was a resident of Calaveras County for the past 19 years. As a young man, Larry was drafted into the US Army, where he received an honorable discharge in 1966. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all spending time with his family.

One year ago today, Harold Benjamin Goldberg, our beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away Oct. 29, 2013, at his Oakdale home. A Celebration of Life and Burial at Sea were held for Harold and Dorothy Goldberg, on July 12, 2014, at the Sea Crest Oceanfront Hotel, in Pismo Beach, CA. Earlier in the morning a Burial at Sea, with military honors, was held for Harold and Dorothy on a local sailboat.
