Patricia "Pat" Taillefer, passed away peacefully in Modesto on March 2, 2016 at the age of 84. Pat was born at UC Hospital in San Francisco on July 7, 1931 to Albert and Winnifred Douglass. Pat moved to Escalon, CA 40 years ago and has been a resident ever since.

Craig Darryl Mossman, 67, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on February 18, after a courageous four-month battle with cancer. Craig is survived by his wife of 27 years Kimberly; son Scott; daughters Rachel and Megan; son-in-law Chris; and brother Roger and family. Larry Howard, 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 23, 2016. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Melodie Howard of 53 years, his parents L.V. and Orene Howard and sister Linda Howard Darner. He is survived by his brother Lane Howard. Larry also leaves behind his loving daughters, Tiffanee Howard and Camaron Keyes; his grandchildren, Shayna Garcia, Jacob Garcia, Callie Keyes-Bell (Joel) and Andrew Keyes. Mark was born in San Luis Obispo, CA. He was married to Annette Sharp and they had two children, Katelyn and Garrett. He was a backhoe operator for D & M Backhoe, for 12 years before starting his own excavation business. He also was in the cattle and farming business for 28 years. At the age 84, Donna passed away after a brief illness on January 25, 2016. She was born June 8, 1932. Donna attended Claus Sierra Baptist Church for 10-plus years and was a member of Sierra Baptist Church for 20 years. She was the secretary of Sierra Baptist Church and had many people who loved her, she will be greatly missed. Donna was a faithful believer who loved to visit the Oak Valley Care Center and sing with the church there every third Sunday. Donna had an adopted son, Dan Warren, who she loved dearly.
Glenn Schutt, 91 passed away peacefully at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. Glenn grew up in Turlock, CA and served as a Merchant Marine during World War II. He survived the sinking of his ship by the Japanese in 1943 in the Gulf of Aden. He worked for international construction firms as an engineer and spent time in various locations around the globe, including 20 years in Africa before retiring and moving to Oakdale to live with family.
Our beautiful mom, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, a month shy of her 95th birthday. She entered the world on March 8, 1921, in Turlock, CA, as Virginia Jeanne Bostwick, daughter of Hattie Jane and James Francis Bostwick. At the age of 13 in the midst of the depression years she lost her father and was lovingly raised by her mother Hattie.
Sylvia was born to Chester and Inez Christian in Sarcoxie, Missouri where she grew up. Sylvia moved to California when she was 16, here she met George Taliaferro and married two years later at the age of 18. They were married for 58 years. Sylvia is preceded in death by her husband, George.
