Bill and his family moved from Hayward and settled in Oakdale in 1973. He sold real estate and had various other businesses. He belonged to the Oakdale Saddle Club and was a team roper. He also enjoyed golf. He is survived by his two sons (Troy and Tory Ledo), two granddaughters (Jennifer Ledo Uribe and Nikki Ledo Steward), and one great-grandson (Lucas Uribe).

Shirley Jean Serpa of Oakdale, CA passed away peacefully at home at the age of 89. She was born in Greenwood, PA and moved to San Francisco in the early 50's to be with her sister. She worked at Pacific Bell until she met and married her husband Vernon L. Serpa in 1954. They lived in Hawyard, CA on the family ranch until 1973 when they moved to a ranch in Knights Ferry. Robert Edward Gilbert, age 93, with his family nearby, died Sunday, November 20 in Oakdale after a brief illness. Born in Oakdale to Amos L. and Emma (Banks) Gilbert, Bob was affectionately known as Father, Grandpa, Great-grandpa, Uncle Bob, Mr. Gilbert and Loyal Friend. Bob attended UC Berkeley until he was called to active duty in WW II.
Dorothy Skinner, age 82, passed away on November 24, 2016 at Kaiser Permanente hospital in Modesto, California with her family by her side. Dorothy was born on March 22, 1934 in Pasadena, the daughter of the late Raymond Gorham and Anna Doerrer.
Alta Ray Fannon Gates is survived by her children John W. Gates, Cindy D. Gates, Kelly M. Gates, Steve A. Gates, and Tearsa J. Gates, 13 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Aletia Copin (66) passed from this world peacefully at her home with her loving family surrounding her, following a short illness. Gordon Albert Pimley was born on December 12, 1926 to parents William Gordon and Frances Helen (Cole) Pimley in Hayward CA. He entered into eternal repose on November 5, 2016 at his home in Oakdale. Gordon moved from Hayward to Oakdale at the age of 12. He was an altar boy at Saint Mathias Church where his mother played the organ. Gordon signed up for the Navy on December 11, 1944, and entered after he graduated high school in 1945. He served through 1946 and became inactive until he was honorably discharged on July 27, 1950.

Gary passed away November 15th at Manteca Care & Rehabilitation Center after a short battle with brain cancer. Gary was a lifelong resident of Oakdale; he worked at Spreckles Sugar for 23 years. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. Gary is survived by brother, Steven Michener; sisters, Jeanne Michener and Margaret (Maggie) Hulme. She married Joe Dymke in Modesto, CA on Feb. 27, 1971; they were married almost 46 years. He is survived by June, his loving wife of 65 years, daughters, Sandy Mercer and Barbara Aker, son Keith Pope, eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
