Piece Of The Past Missing From Business

The red, white and blue pole that has been out in front of Norm's Barber Shop on West F Street in Oakdale for over 45 years has been stolen. The theft occurred overnight, sometime between when the business closed on Wednesday, Jan. 16 and re-opened the next day. The iconic barber pole was ripped off the wooden structure that it had been attached to for years.

Two Shot, Injured At Party

A 17-year-old validated Norteno gang member was arrested by Oakdale Police following a shooting at a large party on Post Road, where two men were shot early Sunday morning. This makes the second gang-related shooting in a month since the November night Abel Calderon and Ruben Mora were gunned down in front of the Oakdale Market.
