An Oakdale man's fixation on Oakdale Police Lieutenant Keri Redd, a 23-year veteran of the department, has landed him with a felony conviction and a 16-month prison sentence. The Stanislaus District Attorney's Office released the information about the case this week.
On June 3, Stanislaus County District Attorney Birgit Fladager announced that Daniel John Ruiz, 26, of Oakdale, pleaded no contest to two counts of felony child molest on May 21. Deputy District Attorney Merrill Hoult prosecuted the case for the People.

Police responded to a family disturbance in the 600 block of South Sierra Avenue on Thursday night, May 8 and found a man had been stabbed in the abdominal area. A 16-year-old juvenile was subsequently arrested for the stabbing.
Oakdale Police in conjunction with the Stanislaus County Probation Department conducted a probation search on Friday, April 4. A total of six persons were arrested by police for offenses including possession of narcotics, paraphernalia, along with other probation violations.
