Four graduating seniors will take their rightful places at the top of their graduating class at Oakdale High School this year. There were ties for the honors of Valedictorian and Salutatorian. The class of 2009 Valedictorians are Karen Molokach and Katie Zeff, and Salutatorians are Chris Gebhart and Sara Peterson.
Cloverland Elementary School hosted its Fifth Annual Art Corps art show, "Grow Smart with Art" on May 6 and 7. Student artwork was featured in the art show held in the school cafeteria.
Oakdale High School senior Evan Boggs was recently tapped as the winner of this year's coveted Leo Volz scholarship. The Volz scholarship pays full tuition and books for a student for four years to the college of their choice.
The Oakdale Joint Unified School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved several action calendar items that resulted in across the board pay cuts, including for themselves, in order to save jobs and balance the budget at the regular meeting on May 11.
