Friends Of The Library Seeking Book Donations

The Friends of the Oakdale Library will be hosting its annual used book sale at the Bianchi Community Center on March 8, 9 and 10 this year. Last year over 4,000 books were sold to people here in Oakdale. This has been the organization's primary fundraiser since the first sale over 50 years ago. The money raised from the sale of used books goes to the local library to support both youth and adult activities.

March Women’s Club Meeting Scheduled

Oakdale Women's Club had an outstanding lunch and meeting on Feb. 2 with the Oakdale Golf and Country Club chef demonstrating how to make Beggar's chicken as part of the program. The next meeting is planned for Tuesday, March 1. Everyone is invited and can call Elaine Hogg at 209-322-3338 for a reservation. The cost is $16 for members and the monthly luncheon is a fun way to get together with other women in town. ACS Discovery Shop Sale Slated

The American Cancer Society Discovery Shop is having its annual jewelry event. Included in the sale is jewelry in 14K, sterling silver, amazing vintage and lots of fashion jewelry. UOP Research Study Predicts Continued California Recovery

The California economy will maintain steady growth according to the latest projection from the Center for Business and Policy Research at the University of the Pacific.
