Oakdale Fire Department with assistance from Stanislaus Consolidated Fire out of Riverbank battled a house fire in the 200 block of South Third Avenue on Friday, Dec. 7. The fire was called in shortly after 1 p.m. and was reported in the downstairs portion of the residence. The fire spread throughout the structure. Crews on scene reported that the residents were able to escape without injury however the family dog was unaccounted for. The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time.

Angel Trees Placed In Community For Holiday Season

Center for Human Services (CHS) – Oakdale Family Resource and Counseling Center introduced Angel Trees in 2011 to assist families in need during the holiday season. Last year, CHS – Oakdale Family Resource and Counseling Center hosted Angel Trees at four different sites and were able to provide gifts for approximately 130 Angels (local children). This year, the center is hosting Angel Trees at 10 sites and plan to serve over 160 Angels. Columbia College Presents Sounds Of The Seasons
