Applications Being Sought For Rural Business Grants

USDA Rural Development California State Acting Director Rich Brassfield has announced the agency is seeking applications for the Rural Business Development Grant (RBDG) Program. RBDG grants are available to public bodies, non-profit organizations and federally recognized tribal groups to finance and facilitate various business opportunity or business enterprise projects that serve rural areas. Individual businesses are not eligible to apply.

Additional Orientations Slated For Come Back Kids Program

The Stanislaus County Office of Education will hold informational orientations for individuals interested in learning how to earn a high school diploma through its Come Back Kids program. Come Back Kids (CBK) is a free, independent study program for adults (18+) who want to come back and complete their education. The orientations are an opportunity for prospective students to learn more about the program. Approximately 240 people attended the orientation held in January. Due to a high level of interest, additional orientations have been scheduled.
