OHS Earns Regional Science Olympiad Win

A total of 20 teams from 15 county high schools competed on Saturday, March 4 at the 2017 Stanislaus County Regional Science Olympiad and Oakdale was among those rising to the top. Oakdale High School Gold Team came home Division C Champions. The OHS Gold Team will now advance to the Northern California (NorCal) Science Olympiad event scheduled for Saturday, April 1 at CSU Stanislaus.

American AgCredit Outlines 2016 Strong Financial Growth

American AgCredit, the nation's fifth largest agricultural lending cooperative, this week announced a net income of $104.5 million for the year ended Dec. 31, 2016, along with a cash dividend distribution of $50.2 million to its shareholders. This compares to a net income of $99.7 million and a cash dividend of $43.5 million for the prior year. American AgCredit has returned more than $350 million to its customer-owners since 2005.

Final Five Profiled - kicker New Distinguished Young Woman To Be Selected Saturday

The annual Distinguished Young Women of Oakdale program is scheduled for this Saturday, March 11, at 7 p.m. at the Magnolia School Auditorium. Soroptimist International of Oakdale has sponsored the program for the past 29 years. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children and students and may be purchased at the event. The doors will open for tickets and seating at 6:30 p.m.
