Welcome Holiday Benefit Continues For Drivers

Average retail gasoline prices in Modesto have fallen 7.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.48/gallon Sunday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 201 gas outlets in Modesto. This compares with the national average that has fallen 9.6 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.28/gallon, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

Oakdale Man Arrested For Sex Rendezvous With 13-Year-Old

Local Service Technician Recognized For Excellence

Brad Greer, an ASE Certified automobile technician from Oakdale, was recently honored with a national achievement award as the SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service/ASE Automobile Technician of the Year. Forty-seven automotive professionals were recognized on Nov. 19, 2014, at the Fall Board of Governors meeting of the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) held at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Artwork Submission Sought For Arbor Week Contest

Eaton Receives Naval Academy Nomination

Oakdale High School senior Logan Eaton was called to the office last week to take a phone call he will not soon forget. Eaton was one of 16 Central Valley high school seniors to receive a phone call from U.S. Representative Jeff Denham (R-Turlock). The nature of the phone call was to inform the senior he was one of the nominees named for the United States Naval Academy.
