Oakdale Fire Department with assistance from Stanislaus Consolidated Fire out of Riverbank battled a house fire in the 200 block of South Third Avenue on Friday, Dec. 7. The fire was called in shortly after 1 p.m. and was reported in the downstairs portion of the residence. The fire spread throughout the structure. Crews on scene reported that the residents were able to escape without injury however the family dog was unaccounted for. The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time.

An interrupted residential burglary in the Del Rio area off Stewart Road and McHenry Avenue on Wednesday, April 29, led to a high speed chase with the vehicle being discarded outside of Oakdale off Rodden Road.
