The item had some council members questioning the intent of asking the city to pay for something they were told was being taken care of by the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire District.

OID Water Operations Manager Eric Thorburn presented on groundwater specific to the OID service area where he covered a basic overview of groundwater, its management in OID, and OID's future plans.

Orange Blossom 4-H Club is gearing up for a year of learning, leadership, new friends, and community service. At their November meeting, members brought their homemade Thanksgiving centerpieces. Some made traditional candle and flower arrangements, while others made fun fall themed ones. A favorite was a basket ready for the hot rolls that looked like a turkey.

On the one-year anniversary of the death of off-duty Oakdale Police Officer Paul Katuszonek, the attorney representing the family of the officer announced that Gold Star Foods Inc., a food distribution and long haul trucking company based in Ontario, CA, agreed to pay $8.5 million to Katuszonek's family to settle claims that its truck driver employee caused his death.
