College Sports Fundraiser Slated

Beer, wine lovers, food connoisseurs and sports enthusiasts alike will find something to please their palate at this year's Celebrate Modesto Junior College Wine, Beer and Gourmet Food Tasting on Saturday, April 13 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the MJC Gymnasium on East Campus. Proceeds from the event will benefit the 21 intercollegiate sports in the MJC Athletics Program.

Coco’s Heart Fundraiser Slated

Coco, now a 2-year-old dog, was rescued several months ago in 100-degree temperatures, tied to a tree with no food or water, suffering from a variety of health issues. She was initially stabilized by local veterinarian Dr. Sergio Iniguez and later went to see a cardiologist at UC Davis, where she was diagnosed with a repairable genetic heart defect.
