Summer Season Sees Steady Pump Prices

Average retail gasoline prices in Modesto have fallen 6.0 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.38 per gallon Sunday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 201 gas outlets in Modesto. This compares with the national average that has increased 0.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.75/gallon, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

Warehouse Water Leak Reveals Marijuana Grow

Water flowing from beneath a roll-up door of a warehouse on Ackley Circle led police to the discovery of 136 marijuana plants and a sophisticated grow operation. The tenant, an Oakdale resident, was arrested for marijuana cultivation while police also investigate additional building code violations.

Super Times Offered At Oakdale Library

Oakdale residents are taking advantage of the air conditioning at the Oakdale Library this summer to beat the heat. Many activities are planned at the library at 151 S.
