New Look For Oakdale Police Fleet

With four of the nine vehicles in its fleet with over 120,000 miles, the Oakdale Police Department is making a gradual change in vehicles, shifting from its mainstay police sedan, the Ford Crown Victoria, to the Chevrolet Tahoe SUV.

Congressional Competition Seeks Young Artists

U.S. Representative Jeff Denham (R-Turlock) has announced the details of California's 10th District Congressional Art Competition. The competition provides aspiring student artists with the chance to display their talent and creativity. One winner from the 10th District will be invited to share their artwork with the rest of the nation in the U.S. Capitol.

Hospice Receives Grant For Expanding Services

Community Hospice announced this week they were awarded a $100,000 grant from the New York Life Foundation. Community Hospice was one of 20 bereavement service providers that received the funding as part of an effort to help expand grief support services to diverse and disadvantaged youth across the country.
