Fundraiser To Benefit Arts Programs

Focus On…, a newly formed non-profit organization, is presenting a Cuban themed fundraiser, called "The Romance of Old Havana" on Saturday, July 27 from 6p.m. to 11p.m. to benefit arts programs in Stanislaus schools through the Boys and Girls Club Of Stanislaus County and the C.L.A.S.S. program through the Central California Art Association (CCAA)

Enforcement Effort Targets Distracted Drivers

Effective Monday, June 17, drivers in the greater Sacramento region who are observed texting or talking on a hand-held cell phone will be targeted in a special enforcement operation that will last through June 30. Thirty-seven local police departments and the California Highway Patrol (CHP) will participate in the enforcement effort.

Weekend Charity Carnival

The Riverbend Ranch Charity Carnival will be held on Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 4500 River Road in Oakdale. The Carnival is a charity fund raiser that the Kjeldgaard family started in 2007 for an orphanage in Libera.
